Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a cosmetic procedure used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, stretch marks and minor skin pigmentations. The procedure uses an electric pen to create small punctures in the skin to stimulate the natural production of collagen. Typically 3-5 treatments are performed 6-8 weeks apart to produce optimal results.
Nanoneedling is similar to microneedling but more gentle. This procedure can be done approximately every 1-2 weeks and is useful for treating more delicate areas such as circles under the eyes and lip lines.
